The revival
The return of Here
The original Here closed in 2024. Now it's back: the same rooms, stickers and friends you remember, running on a backend, infrastructure and realtime engine that have been rebuilt and modernized from the ground up. It's still experimental and actively developed.

A fresh start
Accounts and rooms from the old site didn't come along, so everyone starts with a clean desktop. Signing up takes a minute, with a username or with Google.
What is Here?
Your home base for hanging out online
Here opens on your desktop: your rooms, friends, chats and mood in one place, decorated your way. From there, jump into rooms: big shared canvases where friends show up as video bubbles you can drag around, and everything you drop in (GIFs, photos, notes, a YouTube video) appears for everyone at once.
What you can do
Hang out, face to face
Hop into a room with your camera and mic. Everyone gets a video bubble you can move, so the room feels like a place instead of a meeting. Share your screen when words aren't enough.
Watch together, in sync
Paste a YouTube or Twitch link and it plays for the whole room at the same time. Grab the popcorn sticker and make it a movie night.
Decorate it until it's yours
Stickers, GIFs, text art, images and room kits, all searchable from the toolbar. Change the background, drag everything around, pin what matters.
Most importantly, have fun
Draw together, run a poll, set a timer, take a group photo in the Photo Booth, or wander into a public chat. Here is built for goofing around.
Show off who you are
Your desktop is your home base. Pick a theme, set a mood, change the fonts and colors, and design a profile card your friends will see.

A native Android app is in the works and already runs against the new Here: sign in, rooms, chat, friends and DMs, and room calls with camera and mic.

For now, Here works best in a desktop browser such as Chrome.

Questions, answered
Is this the same Here as before?
Yes, at heart. It's the same core product and idea you may remember: personal rooms, video bubbles, stickers, watching and hanging out together. Under the hood it runs on a heavily rebuilt, modernized technical foundation, and the revival is still experimental.
Can I use my old Here account?
No. Accounts, rooms and messages from the original site weren't carried over, so create a new account. It takes about a minute.
Does it cost anything?
No. Sign up and start a room.
What do I need?
A recent desktop browser (Chrome works best), plus a camera and microphone if you want to be on video. Android is coming; see above.
